Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills Queens New York. When she was finishing junior high, she moved from Queens into Dix Hills Long Island. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. Her career began in the field of entertainment at nine and was modeling. She started her acting training at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned the acting skills of Sanford Meisner, alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who studied to this manner, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her first role was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move out to Los Angeles. Then, she got the lead in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she did almost all of her own stunts and established herself as an athletic actress. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to land a regular role on Friends.
