Singer was born on November 26, 1986, in Santa Monica California. The singer is the child of father Vincenzo Barba and her mother Valerie Barba. She was just six when she left her family and moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. For her schooling, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. She graduated from Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her nickname. Due to her musical performances, she became known as Violin Girl. She was a violin teacher to kids in the area. At the age of nineteen she auditioned for the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit song Free. But she was eliminated following finishing 16th on the show.
